SolarCity Buys Zep Solar For $158M
San Mateo-based solar financing provider SolarCity said this week that it has acquired Zep Solar, a provider of residential photovoltaic module mounting systems. SolarCity said it would pay $158M in shares of SolarCity common stock for Zep Solar, which is based in San Rafael. SolarCity said that Zep Solar will operate as an independent business unit of SolarCity.
