Symbio Merges With Freeborders For Outsourced Software Development
San Francisco-based Symbio, and San Jose-based Freeborders, two providers of outsourced software product development, said yesterday that they have merged to become a single company. Financial terms of the merger were not announced. The two companies said the combined companies will have 2,000 employees, and over 100 clients. Both companies provide a variety of software development, maintenance and related services to clients. Symbio's operations are in China, Finland, and Sweden; Freeborders also has offices in Denver, New York, London, Stockholm, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Wu Xi.
