Betable Wins $18.5M In Series A Funds
Software developer
Betable
, which allows developers to offer up real money gambling and gaming in their apps, has raised $18.5M in a Series A funding round. The new funding was led by Venture51, and also included Greylock and Founders Fund. Betable operates an online platform--licensed by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission--which lets developers build legal, real money gaming and gambling apps via a third party platform. The company says its platform helps those developers get around the many complicated legal issues and compliance issues required to offer up real money gaming. The firm is based in London, but has an office in San Francisco.
