August Gets $8M For Smartphone Enabled Door Lock
San Francisco-based August said today that it has raised $8M in a Series A funding round, for the company's smartphone enabled, Bluetooth door lock. The company said the round was led by Maveron, and also included Cowboy Ventures, Industry Ventures, Rho Ventures, and SoftTech VC. The company's door lock operates via Bluetooth, and includes tracking and scheduling functions and more.
