Oracle Acquires Responsys
Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Friday that it has agreed to buy Responsys, the developer of email marketing software. The deal was worth approximately $1.5 billion, net of Responsys' cash, or $27.00 per share in cash. Oracle said it will help extend its Custumer Experience Cloud offerings. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2014.
