Google Buys Nest For $3.2 Billion
Mountain View-based Google said Monday afternoon that it has acquired Nest, the maker of smart thermostats and smoke alarms, for $3.2 billion in cash. Google said that Nest will continue to operate as its own brand, headed by Nest founder Tony Fadell.
