San Francisco-based solar installer
Sunrun said late Tuesday that it has acquired the residential solar installation division of
REC Solar,
AEE Solar, and
SnapNrack--all of which were part of
Mainstream Energy. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. REC Solar provided residential solar sales, design, and installation; AEE Solar provides wholesale distribution; and SnapNrack provided solar mounting systems. Sunrun is venture backed by Accel Partners, Sequoia Capital, Foundation Capital, and Madrone Capital Partners.
