Cadence Buys Forte Design Systems
San Jose-based Cadence Design Systems said yesterday that it is acquiring Forte Design Systems, a provider of high level synthesis tools for the semiconductor industry. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Forte Design Systems develops SystemC-based high level synthesis and related tools, and was venture backed by such companies as 3i Ventures, Infinity Capital, and Saints Capital.
