Cadence Buys Assets From TransSwitch
San Jose-based semiconductor design sofware developer Cadence Design Systems said this week that it has acquired the high speed, interface IP assets of TransSwitch, a developer of products for the HDMI, DisplayPort, MHL and Ethernet BaseT market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cadence said the deal will provide it with both a development team and intellectual property covering TranSwitch's high speed controllers for the Ethernet and display market.
