Tonic Health Lands Funding
Palo Alto-based Tonic For Health, a developer of animated, entertaining medical data collection and screening apps for the iPad and web, has raised a round of funding from Hearst Health Ventures, the company said this week. Size of the funding round was not disclosed. Tonic's apps make the usual drudgery of filling out patient medical history and screening forms more interfactive and entertaining, helping hospitals and physicals to better treat patients and handle patient intake. A regulatory filing indicates the funding was worth $2.5M.
