Saffron Technology, a developer of software for businesses to connect their structured and unstructured data, said today that it has raised $7M in a Series B funding, and will move its global headquarters to Silicon Valley. The company did not say where in the region it intends to set up shop. The company--currently based in Cary, North Carolina--is led by Gayle Sheppard. Saffron Technology says its technology is applicable to the fields of manufacturing, retail, defense, and healthcare.
