Smule Sings With $16.6M More For Music Apps
Palo Alto-based Smule, which develops all kinds of music themed applications and games, has raised $16.6M in a new funding round for its music apps. According to Smule, the funding came from Roth Capital Partners, as well as Bessemer Venture Partners, Granite Ventures, Shasta Ventures, along with a number of other, undisclosed investors. Smule, led by Jeff Smith, makes smartphone apps focused on things like karaoke, guitar, piano, and more letting users record their own versions of popular songs to share with others.
