Atypon Buys Metapress
Santa Clara-based Atypon Systems, a developer of a software-as-a-service product aimed at electronic publishing, said it has acquired the Metapress business from information provider EBSCO Online. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The companies said that EBSCO Online has decided to discontinue its Metapress platform, and will migrate its clients to Atypon's own publishing platform. Atypon's software is used for publishing professional and scholarly article sonline.
