Prosper Gets $70M For Expanding Peer Lending Marketplace
San Francisco-based peer-to-peer lending site
Prosper Marketplace
announced Sunday that it has raised $70M more in a funding round. The funding was led by Francisco Partners, and also include Institutional Venture Partners and Phenom Ventures. AS part of the funding, Francisco's David Golob joins the company's board. Prosper said the funding will go towards expanding its business, for its technology, as well as hiring.
