San Francisco-based Coinbase said Tuesday that it has acquired the team behind the Kippt content sharing service, to bolster its Bitcoin wallet products. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Kiipt developed a service to help users share content ando their information from around the web. As part of the deal, Coinbase said it has hired Jori Lallo and Karri Saarinen, the founders of Kiipt. Lallo and Saarinen said they will keep Kippt alive as a "side project", and will discontinue the premium plans they had offered through the service.
