Instart Logic Loads Up With $26M
Mountain View-based Instart Logic, a developer of web application optimization and streaming software and technology, has raised $26M in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures and Tenaya Capital. The startup--led by Manav Mital--helps major companies improve their websites and applications, by streaming applications to users. The company said it is looking to make content delivery networks (CDNs) "obsolete".
