Trimble Buys Mining Information Systems
Sunnyvale-based Trimble said this week that it has acquired Mining Information Systems, an Australian company developing software used for the business of mining. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Trimble said Mining Information Systems (MIS) provides tools for enterprise-wide monitoring and management of mining and ore processing operations. Those tools already connect with Trimble's geospatial location and tracking products.
