Yo Gets $1.5M
San Francisco-based Yo, the developer of the app which simply sends the message "yo" to a user's contact, has raised $1.5M, the company announced Friday. The funding came from Betaworks, Pete Cashmore of Mashable, and other angels. The funding reportedly values the faddish app developer at $10M. Yo said the move will help it continue its efforts to partner with leading technology companies and enhance its platform.
