Google Buys Zync Render For Visual Effects In The Cloud
Mountain View-based Google has expanded out its cloud services platform, saying today that it has acquired Zync Render, a service which helps movie studios render their special effects in the cloud. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Zync's cloud services have been used in such movies as Star Trek Into Darkness and Looper. The company becomes part of the Google Cloud Platform team.
