ZIRX Gets $6.4M For On-Demand, Valet Parking
San Francisco-based ZIRX, a new, smartphone-driven startup which offers up valet parking on-demand, at a flat $15 a day, has raised $6.4M in a venture funding round from Norwest Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures. The company currently only offers service in the SOMA, Financial District and Hayes Valley areas of San Francisco. ZIRX relies on "agents" who are dispatched via iPhone to pick up and deliver cars around the city, and are paid per job and get a free iPhone.
