Remind Takes $40M For Teacher Texting Tools
San Francisco-based Remind, which develops mobile texting and communications tools specifically aimed at teachers, students, and parents, has raised $40M in a Series C funding. The funding was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included Social+Capital Partnership and First Round Capital. Remind is led by Brett Kopf. The company's mobile apps are used to allow teachers to text reminders to students and parents.
