General Catalyst Seeds Stripe Ecosystem With $10M Fund
Palo Alto-based venture capital investor General Catalyst Partners says it is putting up $10M to invest in companies who are building applications on the payment platform being developed by Stripe. According to GEneral Catalyst, it plans to invest between $250,00 to $500,000 in seed stage startups as part of the effort. General Catalyst said it already has made a $500,000 investment in Baremetrics, a provider of analytics tools for software-as-a-service companies, as part of the new GC Stripe Platform Fund.
