San Ramon-based Accela, a developer of software for the government sector, has acquired Decade Software, a provider of environmental health and safety software for health departments. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Decade Software's products are used by such customers as Orange County, California; Los Angeles County Environmental Health and Fire Department; Seattle-King County, Washington; Sacramento County, California; Baltimore Environmental Health; and the Southern Nevada Health District. Accela is led by Maury Blackman.
