Zenverge has been acquired by chip giant
Freescale Semiconductor, Freescale announced this morning, for its HD transcoding and processing ICs. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Zenverge's chips are used for high speed transcoding of media into such format as Ultra HD (HEVC) and other formats. Zenverge was venture backed by Battery Ventures, CID Group, DCM-Doll Capital Management, Entropic Communications, Motorola, Norwest Venture Partners, Verizon, and Woodside Fund.
