Pixelapse, a startup developing version control firms for visual designers, said Monday that it has been acquired by San Francisco-based cloud storage firm Dropbox. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Pixelapse said it would continue to support its standalone tool for the next year, but will eventually migrate the functionality of the software directly into Dropbox. Pixelapse is venture backed by YCombinator and StartX, and was based in Palo Alto.
