CoverHound Lands $14M For Insurance Comparisons
San Francisco-based CoverHound, which operates an online comparison shopping marketplace for auto, homeowners, rental, and motorcycle insurance, has raised $14M in a Series B funding, the company said this morning. The new funding came from RRE Ventures, Blumberg Capital and Bullpen Capital, along with Core Innovation Capital, Thomas Lehrman, Tugboat Ventures, Route 66 Ventures and American Family Ventures, the venture capital arm of American Family Insurance. Core Innovation Capital's Arjan Schutte and Route 66's Ryan Katz both join the company's board with the funding. CoverHound is led by Keith Moore.
