San Francisco-based Square has acquired food delivery service Fastbite, and will begin offering up delivery of lunch and dinner from San Francisco restaurants, Square said this week. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Fastbite offers up delivery of meals from local restaurants, starting at $8 per meal, promising to deliver those meals in as little as 10 minutes. Caviar Fastbite only is offered in downtown San Francisco, although Square said it is hoping to expand the feature to more neighborhoods soon.
