Stem Adds $12M From Mitsui
Millbrae-based energy storage startup Stem announced today that it has raised $12M more in a Series C funding round, led by Mitsui & Co. According to Stem, the investment comes in conjunction with a new effort to expand Stem into international markets, particularly Japan. Stem is led by John Carrington. The new funding comes only a few months after Stem raised $27M in a funding round from such investors as Angeleno Group, Iberdrola (Inversiones Financieras Perseo), GE Ventures, Constellation New Energy, and Total Energy Ventures.
