AEGEA Medical Gets $36M For Medical Devices
Redwood City-based AEGEA Medical, a developer of medical devices used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding, has raised $36M in a Series C funding. The company said today that the funding came from Alloy Ventures, Delphi Ventures, and Covidien/Medtronic, along with BioMed Ventures and Solas Bioventures. The firm said the funds go towards the submission of an application to the FDA, to market its endometrial ablation procedure to treat abnormal uterine bleeding. AEGEA Medical is led by Don Gurskis.
