Loopd Finds $1.5M In Bridge Funding
San Francisco-based Loopd, a developer of analytics software which tracks human interaction at corporate events, said it has raised $1.5M in a bridge funding round, from Marc Benioff, Tim Draper, and Mesh Ventures. The company said the funds go to expand its team and scale internationally. Loopd says it has now raised a total of $2.6M from angel and seed fund investors. Loopd's software and system revolves around "smart badges" which are worn by attendees to events and used in conjunction with proximity sensors, which lets event organizers track the activity of attendees to those events, and also allows for contact information exchange, automated delivery of marketing materials, and check in to speaker sessions. Looopd is led by Brian Friedman.
