SimplyInsured Finds $5.9M
San Francisco-based SimplyInsured, a startup which operates an online marketplace for health insurance for small businesses, has raised $5.9M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Polaris Partners, and also included Bessemer Venture Partners, Altair.VC and Corazon Capital. The company said the funds go to expand its health insurance marketplace and administration platform for small businesses, including funding sales and marketing and hiring. SimplyINsured is led by Vivek Shah, and came out of Y Combinator.
