Welkin Health Connects With $2M
San Francisco-based Welkin Health, a developer of software tools to help healthcare coordinators better manage patients with diabetes, has raised $2M in a seed funding round. The company said the seed funding came from Rock Health, Asset Management Ventures, Great Oaks VC, iSeed VC, iKang Healthcare Group, and Mayo Clinic. Welkin Health develops software to organize a care coordinator's workflow, automatically tracking communications with patients, and enabling email, telephone, SMS, and smartphone contacts--all tied into electronic health records systems. The company is led by Chase Hensel.
