Blue Coat Systems Buys Perspecsys
Sunnyvale-based Blue Coat Systems said Thursday that it has acquired cloud security software developer Perspecsys. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Blue Coat said the buy will "significantly expand" its cloud security offerings. Perspecsys was venture backed by Intel Capital, Paladin Capital and Ascent Venture Partners. Perspecsys had offices in both San Francisco and in Virginia.
