Google Launches Project Sunroof Solar Power Calculator
Mountain View-based Google launched a new project today, to help residents in the San Francisco Bay Area, Fresno, and in Boston, Mass., figure out how much solar energy they can harvest from their rooftop. Google's new Project Sunroof lets users in those areas type in their address, and get an estimate of how much solar energy they can generate off their roof--and how much it will cost them to lease those solar panels.
