RelayRides Acquihires SocialStudio For Mobile Talent
San Francisco-based car sharing startup RelayRides said Thursday that it has acquired SocialStudio, the developer of mobile apps FADE and JumpCam. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. RelayRides said 12 of SocialStudio's team, including seven engineers, are joining the company. FADE is a mobile app which allowed users to post disappearing messages; JumpCam was a mobile app to let users broadcast themselves to friends and others. SocialStudio was venture backed by Trinity Ventures and Google Ventures. RelayRides said the SocialStudio team will help it with further developing its own products.
