Intel Buys Saffron
Intel said Monday that it has acquired Saffron, a developer of artificial intelligence tools, to help bolster its cognitive computing efforts. Saffron was based in Cary, North Carolina, and also has operations in Silicon Valley. Saffron becomes part of Intel's New Devices group. Saffron's software uses artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to better personalize the behavior of computer appplications.
