San Francisco-based
Lyft is in a global alliance with
Didi Kuaidi,
GrabTaxi and
Ola, in what looks like an effort to provide a unified front against the Uber juggernaut. According to Lyft, the global rideshare agreement between the companies will allow the companies to collaborate and leverage each other's technology, local market knowledge, and business resources. The deal allows users of Lyft's app to book local, on-demand rides internationally via the other companies, via a secure, shared API. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The companies said they will roll out join products in Q1 of 2016.
