Symantec Completes Veritas Sale
Mountain View-based Symantec said late Friday that it has completed its sale of Veritas to The Carlyle Group. The deal was worth approximately $5.3 billion to Symantec, according to the company, in after-tax cash proceeds. Symantec says the sale make it "singularly focused" on cybersecurity. Veritas develops software for the storage and networking market.
