San Francisco-based
PowerCore, a developer of "smart toys" for the video game market, said this week that it has raised $2M in a seed funding round. The funding came from 500 Startups, East Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, and Cherubic Ventures. PowerCore's first products include prints, stickers, apparel and lifestyle goods for the Battle Tails game. PowerCore was founded by Jia Shen, the former founder and CTO of RockYou, and Young Lee.
