, a developer of IT management software, has been acquired by
Micro Focus
, in a deal worth $540M in cash. UK-based Micro Focus said the acquisition will strengthen its solution set. Serena Software serves the enterprise IT market, and was owned by private equity investor HGGC. HGGC had paid $450M for Sera Software back in 2014 from Silver Lake.
