Aerin Medical Finds $16.7M
Sunnyvale- and Austin-based Aerin Medical, a developer of non-invasive, medical devies designed to treat nasal breathing disorders, has raised $16.7M in a Series C funding, the company announced this morning. The funding included $6.1M in an initial close from Targeted Technology Fund, combined with a $10.6M second close from KCK Group. Aerin Medical said Targeted Technology's Peter Savas and KCK's Nael Kassar both join the company's board with the funding. Aerin Medical is led by Fred Dinger. The company's technology is focused on radio frequency energy to target and remodel tissue which contributes to nasal congestion.
