Brocade Buys StackStorm For IT Automation
San Jose-based Brocade has acquired IT software developer StackStorm, the two said Tuesday, to help bolster Brocade's products with the addition of automation software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. StackStorm's products are used for automating actions based on security and other IT events. The company was backed by XSeed Capital, Finaves, and the Stanford Angels; the company's founders are CEO Evan Powell and CTO Dimitri Zimine.
