Preempt Security Raises $8M For Breach Detection Tools
San Francisco-based Preempt Security, a developer of breach detection and response software, has raised $8M in a Series A funding, according to the company. The funding was led by General Catalyst Partners, and also included angels Mickey Boodaei and Rakesh Loonkar (Trusteer), and Paul Sagan (Akamai Technologies). Preempt's team previously was part of Unit 8200, the elite intelligence unit of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
