SolarCity Finds $227M For More Solar Power Projects
San Mateo-based solar power financing provider
SolarCity
has scored more financing for its solar projects, saying today that John Hancock will invest $227M in cash equity financing in its portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial solar power projects. The company said those projects represent 201 megawatts of generation capacity. SolarCity said it is retaining ownership of those assets, and serving the customers underlying those projects, and monetizes the cash flow and solar renewable energy credits assocated with those projects.
