Green Charge Networks Majority Acquired By ENGIE
Santa Clara-based Green Charge Networks, a developer of battery storage technology, has been majority acquired by energy giant ENGIE (formerly GDF Suez). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Green Charge was developing battery storage systems, which had been deployed at commercial, industrial, and public sector customers for storing electricity and to reduce energy costs. Green Charge has 48 MWh of battery storage projects under deployment or construction, according to the companies. Green Charge was led by Vic Shao.
