Facebook Buys Two Big Ears
Mountain View-based Facebook has acquired Two Big Ears, a developer of spatial sound processing technology, Two Big Ears said this morning. Financial terms of thea cquisition were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, Two Big Ears said it would make its flagship product, The Spatial Workstation, free. Two Big Ears was based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and was founded in 2013. The company's tools are used for creating 3D soundscapes within virtual reality projects, including both cinema and videogames.
