Salesforce Buys Demandware For $2.8 Billion
San Francisco-based Salesforce said this mornign that it is acquiring enteprise cloud software developer Demandware, in a deal worth approximately $2.8 billion. Salesforce said it will pay $75.00 per share in cash for Demandware. Salesforce announced that the acquisition is expected to increase Salesforce's FY17 total revenue by approximately $100 million to $120 million. Demandware was based in Burlington, Mass.
