Brave Software Gets $4.5M For New Web Browser
San Francisco-based Brave Software, a new startup which was created by Mozilla co-founder Bredan Eich, is taking on the web browser market with $4.5M in a seed funding round. According to Brave Software, the seed round came from Founders Fund's FF Angel, Propel Venture Partners, Pantera Capital, Foundation Capital, and Digital Currency Group, and brings its total raised to $7M. Brave Software is building a new, open source browser specifically aimed at privacy protection and speed.
