Rocket Games Acquired By Penn National Gaming
San Francisco-based social casino game developer Rocket Games the maker of Viva Slots, has been acquired by casino gaming operator Penn National Gaming. Penn National said it paid $60M for Rocket Games, plus potential earn out of $110M. Rocket Games was founded in 2013 by Bill Gelpi and Steven Jian, veterans of Zynga, and has 30 employees. Rocket Games will remain in San Francisco, led by its current executive team.
