Shape Security announced on Thursday that it has raised $40M, as part of a Series D funding round. The funding came from Hewlett Packard Pathfinder, along with DBI, Baseline Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, NVP, Venrock, Google Ventures, Eric Schmidt, and Northern Light Ventures. The company says it has now raised $116M in total. Shape Security's technology is used to automatically detect and respond to attacks on application software. Shape's CEO is Derek Smith.
